Robert Hamburg, MD
Dr. Hamburg joined Premier Cardiovascular Center on May 1, 2021. He has been very active in the community for many years supporting the growth of medicine in the East Valley.
Dr. Hamburg was born in Denver, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for his undergraduate training and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver where he received his Doctor of Medicine certification. He furthered his training in cardiology in Houston, Texas at Baylor College of Medicine, completing cardiology and interventional cardiology training in 1993. Dr. Hamburg continued his medical training with Nuclear Cardiology and became Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology in 2006. He has also attained Level II Certification for Cardiac CCTA. Dr. Hamburg continues to maintain certifications in his profession.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention, and The American College of Physicians.
His experience includes cardiac catheterization, percutaneous angioplasty/stents, and permanent pacemakers, interpretation of nuclear cardiology, coronary CT scans of the coronary arteries, and echocardiogram.
Dr. Hamburg has researched and published many scientific articles in the medical field and is currently listed amongst physicians assisting in the further education of medical students. He has a lot of teaching and research background. Dr. Hamburg is on the faculty at ASU and U of A Phoenix Medical School.
Dr. Hamburg enjoys sports activities and serves his community through these efforts as well as his church and charities.
